Raster Vs Vector

Raster artwork like photos, or flattened artwork (Adobe Photoshop) are small squares (pixels) and its quality is resolution dependent or final output size desired, the file could have a low quality output. If you decided to use raster design elements, it should be a high (enough) resolution (DPI) before considering them for your banner printing project.

Vector artwork as in illustrations or clip-art style elements (from Adobe Illustrator) is an output of a mathematical calculations. Vector art can be scaled up to any size without losing quality.
Special attention should be taken when effects are used in Adobe Illustrator. AI effects are raster based and have transparency - which will greatly adds to file size and you must have correct settings in your "Document Raster Effects Settings" to ensure best output for these effects. Example of that would be if you're doing a photo-quality print on a 36" x 48" poster, and leave the raster effects settings at default 72 DPI - you may see tiny squares in your drop shadows, as opposed to a smooth shadow.

Banner Color Printing: Spot Colors/Pantone Or CMYK

We only print 4 color process (CMYK). If you use Spot or Pantone colors, please have them converted to process colors prior to uploading your file.

1" Hem and pole pocket setup

If you are ordering hems or pole pockets, here is how to set up your file.
Hems are made by folding the job by folding the in 1" on all sides. For example if a 6" x 2" banner is ordered with hems the final size will be 5'10"x1'10".

This is also used for pole pockets if a banner is ordered with 2" pole pockets you will lose 3" total of image area. For example for a 2'x6' banner you would end up with a banner with an image area of 2'x5'6". This is also true for the 4" pole pocket, losing a total of 10" of image area. For example for a 2'x6' banner you will have an image area of 2'x5'2".

Banner Files will take longer to upload

Files sizes for Banners can be very big and your file will take longer than your typical business card file. The two main factors that will contribute to file upload speed are file size and network connection. Please refer to Scale & Resolution Example chart.

• The price you wish us to match must be verifiable on the Internet or through a printed advertisement. The competitor's advertisement must be current. Pipo will only match prices with U.S. based authentic online retail print shops. Wholesale and Pipo Brokers are not eligible for price match.
• The competitor's shipping and handling charges and sales tax must be taken into account when we calculate the competitor's price.
• Competitor’s coupons or promotions for first time or one time use will not accepted for the low price guarantee.
• "Gift-with-purchase" offers cannot be considered in the price match calculation.
• Pipo reserves the right to deny any price match on an item that is not in stock with a competitor or does not meet the criteria of our Price Match Policy.
• Price matches will not be honored on "Going out of business", "Liquidation Sales", companies in distress, wholesale (trade-only) or bargain sites.
• Price adjustments are limited to one price match per item within the 30 day period.
